Bristol’s Clean Air Zone will start operating in 2022.
Bristol City Council are making sure that businesses and organisations are prepared for the launch of the zone with financial support to help small businesses and advice on ensuring staff, suppliers and customers are also ready.
We have £32 million of funding to help businesses upgrade vehicles. Our support scheme is designed to significantly reduce the final cost of either replacing or adapting vehicles that don’t meet the zone’s emission standards.
For many businesses, upgrading to a vehicle that meets the zone’s emission standards could be a cost-effective alternative to paying the charge over the longer term.
Our business toolkit contains step-by-step advice on how to prepare for the Clean Air Zone. It also explains how the zone will operate and what support is available.
You don’t have to drive an electric vehicle to enter the Clean Air Zone but if you’re considering switching to electric, we can help.
